Events to inspire

There is always something of interest going on in this part of Scotland. In particular the arts scene is vibrant with many traditional music festivals to attend. Other highlights of the year include The Ayr Flower Show, attracting over 30,000 visitors from far and wide, the two biggest horse races in Scotland, the famous Wigtown Book Festival and numerous celebrations of the stunning estate gardens, local foods and local culture.

Arran Folk Festival

For anyone with an ear for the traditional music of the Celtic fringes the Arran Folk Festival is great entertainment.
