Whisky & Gin Tasting

For many of our guests a visit to Scotland would not be complete without sampling the national spirit and learning more about how the unique tastes of the different distilleries are created. Get a real taste for Scotch Whisky and its fascinating heritage with our experts from the "Whisky Experience". They will create bespoke demonstrations, including tastings and food pairing while conveying the history and process of making some of the most famous whisky in the world, a perfect way to while away the evening all in the comfort of Glenapp Castle.
£500 per experience for up to 10 guests/£50 per additional guest

This is the ultimate Bladnoch experience, join Bladnoch’s Master Distiller Dr Nick Savage for an incredibly rare master class and exquisite paired Whisky lunch. Guests will have the opportunity to dive in and learn the ins and outs of the whisky making process and explore some otherwise unseen parts of the 203-year-old distillery. This experience is perfect for the real Whisky enthusiasts as Dr Nick Savage will discuss with you how to successfully pair your expressions with food and how each expression is developed. The experience will end with a delicious four course meal in the Private Dining room hosted by Dr Savage with a bespoke menu design and rare Whisky pairing. Each guest before departure will be given a gift bag to take away as a wonderful momentum of their time at Bladnoch.

This truly special experience will take you into the world of Scotch Whisky making, hosted by the wonderful Distillery Manager Neil Bulloch. Neil will talk you through the intricacies of the production of each expression of the ageing Bladnoch barrels before you can sample five of these wonderful whiskies for yourself. Enjoy the rare opportunity to see exactly where the production starts to where it ends in the spectacular Bladnoch warehouse. Guests will then enjoy a gourmet three course meal with a special gift to take home – the perfect memory of this wonderful experience.

Visit the Crafty Distillery for a truly exclusive experience from ‘Scotland’s Gin Destination of the Year’. The Crafty team will share the story of how their exciting Galloway based distillery was created from scratch to become one of the world’s most innovative craft distilleries. You'll get to learn the secrets of how they created their multi-award-winning Hills & Harbour Gin as well as their 24 Seven Vodka and their Smokey & Citrus Distilled Cocktail - a world first! During the experience they'll also be serving up perfect serves of their tasty spirits.
