Try your hand at fly fishing for salmon on the River Stinchar

On the River Stinchar

The River Stinchar, on our doorstep, is one of the most unspoilt and highly regarded salmon rivers in this region of Scotland. Further north in Ayrshire the Doon and Girvan Rivers also offer excellent sport. If you are hoping to learn the craft of fly fishing, just let us know and we can arrange instruction, guidance and equipment. You can also make use of the excellent fishing opportunities from the shoreline or book the Glenapp Castle boat to take you out into the Firth of Clyde and beyond.

Charter our boat

"The Glenapp Castle" is a fast 11-metre rib with covered seating for eight, including a range of hydraulic suspension seating, on board kitchen and WC facilities. The vessel allows for both long and short range trips in comfort and is available for charter, fully crewed and fully equipped for most types of sea fishing. The cost for charter per day is £1000 plus VAT.

Our usual skipper, Roddy is well-known for his knowledge and love of the sea and islands of the west coast of Scotland. He will guide you to the prime locations for almost all the species of fish available in the local waters.

Charter is open to guests and non-residents alike, just call us on 01465 831212 or email to book.
