Many people are aware of Glenapp as a beautiful Relais & Chateaux hotel with exquisite gardens, cuisine, furniture art and of the course the sense of privacy for the most discerning of guests. Fewer people would be aware of the amazing trading history of the owners of Glenapp going back almost 150 years.

Many describe Glenapp as being a place, not only of great beauty but as a place of inspiration, a place where creativity seems to flow and often strategic decisions are made. In 1944, Lord Inchcape, Winston Churchill and undoubtedly Dwight Eisenhower met at Glenapp and strategized in part the D-Day landings.

The combination of forest, seascape and the protection of this baronial castle all lend themselves to create an atmosphere for planning, reflection and reconnecting.

The castle itself can accommodate up to 34 guests (40 later in 2016) in 17 beautifully appointed rooms. We also can accommodate up to a further 40 guests in five-star local cottage along the Stinchar River and on the harbours edge, with complimentary transfers to and from the Castle.

Our main drawing room will accommodate up to 60 cabaret-style and comfortably hosts 75 theatre-style. Separate 'break-out' rooms for 12-35 are also available.
