Exclusive Use Events at Glenapp Castle
A stunning exclusive-use conference & events venue...
Glenapp Castle is open from mid-March until 2nd January (excluding Christmas) each year for individual guests. The Castle is also available throughout the season as a magnificent private venue for exclusive use by groups, such as corporate and incentive groups, sporting groups, wedding parties and private family groups.
Although located in a remote and beautiful part of the world in Scotland, the castle is extremely accessible by road and air (click to view the location of the castle in Ayrshire, Scotland).
At Glenapp Castle, we cater for most events with more than twelve in the party on an exclusive use basis only, although this does depend on the nature of the event.
Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire, Scotland, can host a maximum of thirty-four guests, all of whom must be resident at the castle for at least one night. We can, if required, offer dining and reception for a maximum of forty guests, with six of the party being accommodated elsewhere locally. Regretfully, we cannot offer to host events for larger numbers than this, nor can we accommodate additional non-resident guests.
The party will have the private use of the castle and our thirty-six acres of magnificent gardens and grounds for the duration of their stay.
We are happy to personally assist you with the arrangements for your event. We can recommend professional photographers and arrange transportation. We have our own florist at the castle who will create any floral arrangements to your specifications. We can provide musicians of any kind from a Scottish piper to a ceilidh to classical to jazz and disco. We can arrange entertainers such as caricaturists, or magicians. We are also able to arrange activities such as golf on nearby championship or recreational courses, falconry displays or clay pigeon shooting in the castle grounds, loch and river fishing and, in the summer, boat trips to the island of Ailsa Craig (click to view local activities).
We are very happy to welcome children to events at the castle. Where children can share accommodation with adults, we provide roll-away beds and sofa beds, and they can then be accommodated in addition to the thirty four adult guests. Children are welcome to dine with the adults, but they do then have to be included in the maximum number of forty guests we can dine. In order to allow a full complement of adult dinner guests, we often recommend that younger children are served an earlier dinner, and that childcare is then provided.
We are happy to accept one-night exclusive use reservations at the quieter times of our season, but we recommend that, if possible, private parties should stay for two nights. We have found through experience that a stay of two nights is generally a much more leisurely and relaxed occasion, which also allows more opportunities for activities for the guests.
