Luxury Hotel Room PhotosAll of the public rooms at the castle are on the first floor. There are bedrooms on the ground, first and second floors, all of which are accessible by lift, though some are more suitable than others for guests who have difficulty with stairs. The castle has good facilities and access for the disabled. Please ask at the time of reservation if you require these facilities. There are seventeen guest rooms at Glenapp. All are individually decorated and furnished and equipped to the same high standard. They are priced according to their location in the building, their views and their floor area. Our smallest room is 198 square feet - by no means small but our largest rooms are 630 square feet and this is reflected in the room rates. Many of our rooms have superb sea views. The rooms with lesser views of our gardens and woodland and are lower priced. Our ground floor rooms are lower priced than our first and second floor rooms. |

The rooms are briefly described and pictured below, grouped in order of price, from highest to lowest. 360° Panoramas are available of some of the rooms, click to view the Panoramas. Group 1
The largest and grandest rooms at Glenapp Castle are the two Master Rooms and the Arran Suite. The Master Rooms are extremely large rooms with high ceilings and large windows with excellent sea and garden views. The Arran Suite is similar in floor area but consists of two separate rooms, a bedroom and a sitting room. Group 2
Our family suite, The Ballantrae Suite, consists of two ground floor bedrooms, which can be reserved separately, but which can also interconnect giving a large two bedroom suite with two bathrooms. Group 3
Next are the two East Wing Suites. These have a good sized bedroom, and a small separate sitting room. They are popular for longer stays and for families with one older child or two smaller children as there is a double sofa bed in the sitting room. Group 4
Countess of Inchcape and Ailsa Craig are our premier second floor rooms. Both are large rooms with beautiful panoramic sea views. Group 5
The Dial Room is a large second floor room which has views out across the front courtyard of the castle to woodland, but no sea view. Also in this price grouping are Garleffin, a smaller, but very bright first floor room with sea and garden views. The bathroom is small in comparison with others so we would tend not to recommend it for a longer stay. Ballantrae is a large ground floor room. It has excellent sea and garden views, and Knockdolian, our largest ground floor room, has lovely garden views but no sea view. Group 6
In our lowest price category is Viscount Glenapp, our smallest room at 198 square feet. On the second floor, this room has courtyard and woodland views. It also has a lovely original fireplace with real flame fire. The remaining rooms in this category are Beneraird, Kilantringan, Ardstinchar, Auchencrosh and Altimeg. All are ground floor rooms and all have lovely garden views except Auchencrosh which has courtyard and woodland views.
